Alka-Seltzer “Rockets” Video

Standard

As promised, here is a video of Grace’s Alka-Seltzer “rocket” using a film canister.  These are quick and fun (and cheap) to do…with lots of potential for science discussion and exploration. :)  I’ll be posting weekly pictures and our plan for the upcoming week later today, so be sure to check back.

Weekly Video: Plant Characteristics

Standard

Grace and I went out in search of plant characteristic examples this week.  A couple of trips out in the woods, and we had all of the pictures needed to make our video.  This is our first time making a video of this sort (with narration lining up with pictures and whatnot), so be kind and forgiving while watching, please. ;)  Enjoy the video!

Weekly Video: Muscles!

Standard

Grace created a model “arm” earlier this week, and I so enjoyed watching her make it go that we decided to make a short video (she makes the arms go and explains a bit about muscles).  Then Grace had the brilliant idea to include a video on the blog every week.  (She is a smart one!)  And so, here it begins…our weekly videos.

Please forgive our lack of high quality and professionalism….we were more interested in goofing off than creating a work of cinematic art. ;)

Without further ado…..our first weekly video:

I hope you enjoyed our 26 seconds of silliness.  That was actually the third take, so we had the giggles by that point. ;)
